Hi, I’m Joyce.
I’m a NYC-based multimedia journalist reporting on business, technology and travel stories.
Right now, I’m a student at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, where I am extensively covering the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact on New York City’s tourism industry.
Before grad school, I worked as a general assignment reporter and anchor at WLOX-TV in Biloxi, Mississippi. I covered a variety of topics including how natural and man-made disasters have impacted the Gulf Coast ecosystem, the state’s decision to remove a Confederate emblem from its state flag, and how the coronavirus pandemic affected South Mississippi.
I was born and raised in South Florida and I am a graduate Florida State University.
My skills include writing, video production, and broadcasting. I also speak fluent Haitian Creole. Sak pase?
In my free time, I love dancing, soaking up the sun outdoors, and bringing my camera with me to shoot portraits of people and places around the city.
